…all of us are asked to obey his call to go forth from our own comfort zone in order to reach all theperipheries’ in need of the light of the Gospel.”

Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis

The Center for Mission envisions an Archdiocese where parishes and individuals are actively and passionately expanding their Catholic Republica Dominicana 1144worldview to include our brothers and sisters in other countries and other cultures sharing our faith, relationship and resources through solidarity and by respecting the dignity of all.  This would include mission activities even here at home. It is in this way that we share the light of the Gospel message and help contribute to building the Kingdom of God.

As we are all missionaries through our baptism, the Center for Mission encourages participation in mission experience through prayer, engagement and financial gifts of support.

We are charged with promoting and coordinating the global and local mission outreach for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The Center for Mission does this in many ways:

– Short-term immersion trips
– Parish and diocesan partnerships
– Global and local outreach projects
– Supporting local (Archdiocesan) mission activities
– Youth and adult mission education
– Discernment for individuals interested in long-term mission
– Catholic Relief Services
