Throughout the year, the Center for Mission sponsors and hosts many events that offer a mission-type experience or learning in the archdiocese.
Tour de Mission
This summer event offers bike riders the opportunity to experience mission, right here in their “back yard.” This is a bicycle tour for the entire family that takes riders to many of the Catholic Church’s ethnic parishes. For example, on the most recently planned tour, there are a variety of shorter to longer routes for the biking enthusiasts that will visit Hmong, Vietnamese, Burmese and Latino parishes. This is a fun opportunity to experience the Catholic dimension through the lens of different cultures. More information to come.

Conferences
Periodically, the Center for Mission hosts conferences that focus on one of the many areas within Catholic mission theology and experience. The conferences are usually 1/2 to 3/4 of a day and include keynote speakers as well as workshops to dig deeper into specific topics. In the past, the Center for Mission has brought nationally and internationally known speakers like Immaculee Ilibagiza, Sister Helen Prejean and Father Roger Shroeder.
