Learning about Mission in the classroom

The monthly Mission Intentions initiate children into their missionary identity. It connects children to the universal Church and others throughout the world. It defines what it means to be a missionary through baptism. Mission Intentions help educators open up the many dimensions of missionary faith enabling educators to teach to the five Catholic education standards.

Students are given opportunities to learn about Catholicism in a country each month, pray and give to less fortunate all through Catholic social and moral dimensions. These intentions reflect the Holy Father’s mission themes for the particular month.

The monthly Mission Intentions are designed to integrate with a teacher’s classroom rhythm and satisfy existing religious standards.

These are emailed monthly, during the school year, by the 15th of the previous month and can also be downloaded from the download page on this website. Click Here>>
