Enabling those who seek to serve others

The Mustard Seed Mission Endowment is a local fund to support the formation and sending of longer-term local missioners from our Archdiocese to sites around the globe. Money from this fund is used to provide grants that help defray some of the costs of travel, medical care, language training, etc…for missioners who raise a large percentage of their own funds for mission service. Funds from this endowment also are used to assist missioners in their various activities.

Here are what some of our Mustard Seed Missioners have said:

“Without the Mustard Seed Grant and the coaching we received from the Center for Mission, my wife and I would not have been able to experience the kids of El Porvenir, Peru and how they have changed…well, who we are”  Emily and Rafael Harrington, Comboni Lay Missioners

“I have been so enriched by my students, many whose gifts to me through their courage and perseverance in such a difficult place, and I have the Mustard Seed Grant for starting me on this wonderful missionary path!” Maria Montello, Maryknoll Missioner teaching at the University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

“We are in Tanzania now learning what it really means to walk with the suffering and being in solidarity with the poor…it has truly humbled us.  It is an experience that will affect us a lifetime. Thank you for this opportunity Center for Mission” Michael and Ashley Leen, Maryknoll Lay Missioners in Mwanza, Tanzania.
