Its about learning, engaging and inspiration
There are several annual conferences that the archdiocese holds for parishes, parish staff, and parishioners. The Center for Mission sponsors these or even is the primary coordinator for conferences held for the archdiocese. All conferences are an opportunity to hear from experts in certain fields, especially mission and aspects of mission education.
In the past, the Center for Mission has brought prominent speakers like Fr. Roger Shroeder, Helen Prejean, Immaculee Ilibagiza, and Alexie Torres-Fleming who all brought their perspective of missiology and personal stories of mission in their lives.
Conferences are a mix of inspiration, learning and communion.
For example, a successful and inspiring conference was held on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The theme was “Rebuild My Church” Missionary Discipleship in Parishes. In Spring 2018, the archdiocese welcomed Chris Lowney and Sister Rickard speaking at Pax Christi on “Growing Unity and Diversity.”
