Parish Partnerships

What Are Parish Partnerships?

Parish partnerships—also known as sister parishes or parish twinning—offer a powerful way to live out our Catholic faith in global solidarity

Parish partnerships

These partnerships create meaningful relationships between parishes across different countries, allowing parishioners to:
— Visit and connect with their sister parish community
— Share faith, culture, and experiences with fellow Catholics
— Support each other in both joys and challenges
— Grow in missionary discipleship by fostering a global perspective

``A parish reaching beyond its own members and beyond national boundaries is a truly ‘Catholic’ parish.``

— U.S. Bishops, Called to Global Solidarity: International Challenges for U.S. Parishes (1997)

``The Church must step outside herself. To go where? To the outskirts of existence, whatever they may be, but she must step out.``

— Pope Francis, Pentecost Vigil Address (May 2013)
